libcompress-bzip2-perl software package provides Perl interface to Bzip2 compression library, you can install in your Debian 8 (Jessie) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libcompress-bzip2-perl
libcompress-bzip2-perl is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libcompress-bzip2-perl package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libcompress-bzip2-perl *
You will get with libcompress-bzip2-perl package name, version, architecture and description in a table
